BNP to participate in by-elections

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has decided to take part in the upcoming by-elections to be held in Brahmanbaria-3 and Hobiganj-1 on January 27 next year.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the party’s standing committee on Tuesday, a committee member told reports about after the meeting.

The BNP national standing committee, the highest policymaking body, had a meeting with party Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the chair at her Gulshan office at 8:15 pm in the capital Dhaka.
