Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The BNP-led 18-party alliance will hold its mass rally on Monday in front of the party’s central office at Nayapaltan in Dhaka if it does not get permission for any other place.
BNP standing committee member Tariqul Islam said this while addressing an urgent press conference at the BNP central office in the capital Dhaka on Saturday.
He said Khaleda Zia will announce new program from the public meeting.
On May 24, on behalf of the 18-party alliance, applications were submitted seeking permission from the authorities concerned for using either Paltan Maidan, or street of Nayapaltan or Manik Mia Avenue in the capital for the mass rally.
Tariqul said if they do not get permission for the requested venues, they will organize the rally in front of BNP central office at Nayapaltan on June 11 (Monday).
He said the mass rally will be held despite obstacles and cautioned that the government will have to bear the responsibility for any untoward situation.
