Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The body of Jahangir Alam, executive director of Bangladesh Bank (BB), who died of cardiac arrest in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday, will arrive in the capital Dhaka Saturday morning.
“A Turkish flight carrying his body took off from Istanbul this (Friday) evening. The body is scheduled to arrive in the morning”, BB general manager AFM Asaduzzaman told BBN in Dhaka Friday night.
His first namaj-e-janaza will be held at his Minto Road residence at 9:30am while the second one will be held at Jatrabari at 11am on the day, he added. 
The body will be kept on the central bank headquarters premises for few moments and another janaza will be held there at 10:30am on Sunday. 
He will be buried at his village in Comilla. 
Jahangir, who died at the age of 56, went to Istanbul to attend a meeting of Islamic Financial Services Board on Sunday.
