Boeing keen to sell new-generation aircraft to Biman

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The U.S.-based Boeing Commercial Airplanes has expressed its interest to sell their new-generation aircraft to the national flag career, Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Visiting Director of International Sales of the Boeing Company Miguel Santos expressed this at a meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Jamuna in the capital, Dhaka on Sunday.

During the meeting, Santos also informed the prime minister about the outcome of his recent meeting with the civil aviation and tourism minister and high officials of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited regarding the sale of Boeing aircraft to Bangladesh, the United News of Bangladesh (UNB), a private news agency, reported.

Santos was accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh James F Moriarty and Political and Economic Affairs Chief of US Embassy in Dhaka Heather Variava.
