Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The securities regulator has asked both the stock exchanges to submit their findings on recent market trend and compliance of securities rules by Wednesday, officials said.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday sent letters to the authorities of both bourses to submit their summary reports.
The bourses, as the primary regulator, carry on their surveillance and monitoring on regular activities of the capital market, the SEC officials added.
The move came after a meeting of the SEC’s market review committee, held on Monday to ensure accountability and transparency of the brokerage houses and listed companies.
