Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-A minor boy was burnt alive when a devastating fire swept through a slum in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, Wednesday morning.
At least 50 shanties were gutted to ashes in the fire that broke out at Agargaon slum in Dhaka around 11:30am.
The fire however was brought under control nearly an hour after its origin, said Fire Service and Civil Defence official.
The body was asleep in their rented house in the slum when the fire broke out, locals said.
The charred body of the boy was pulled out from the ashes after the blaze was doused, they added.
