Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- BRAC Bank Limited, a leading private commercial bank, has introduced a card that helps making the planet greener, officials said on Saturday.
The Planet Card, first ever in Bangladesh was unveiled at a press conference in Dhaka by Mahabub Hossain, Executive Director of BRAC and Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the BRAC Bank.
At the launching ceremony, Dr. Hossain, also an internationally renowned development economist said, “Our planet needs our help. The Planet Card is a means of providing that help where the customers and thebank joins hand in making a greener planet.”
Mr. Rahman said: “We’ve only one earth and everyday whatever we do affects this planet in one way or the other. BRAC Bank has always been working on various initiatives with our 3P (Planet, People, Profit) philosophy in mind. This Planet Card is one step forward in bringing our guests join the same endeavors.”
