Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– BRAC Bank has opened a foreign exchange (forex) booth at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport in Dhaka to facilitate foreign currency services to international passengers specially Non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs).
Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Atharul Islam inaugurated the booth at the Immigration Lounge Arrival of the airport in the city recently.
Among others, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority Air Vice Marshal Mahmud Hussain, ndc, psc and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BRAC Bank Syed Mahbubur Rahman were present on the occasion.
From now on the passengers of the airport will get encashment services at BRAC Bank Foreign Exchange booth.
Speaking on the occasion, the managing director and CEO of BRAC Bank said, “At this time of foreign exchange crunch, the opening of the booth will help flow remittance through legal channels contributing to government’s foreign exchange reserve.”
