BRAC Bank takes poor children to Boi Mela

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- BRAC Bank Limited under a special program took underprivileged children to Boi Mela on Tuesday.
The children who have never got chance to visit Boi Mela on the Bangla Academy premises got chance to visit Boi Mela under the program, the private commercial bank said.
They were spellbound to see hundreds of book stalls. They spent some time with eminent writers and poets.
This year BRAC Bank and Channel i are partners of Bangla Academy in organizing the book fair. This is the fourth year of BRAC Bank's association with Boi Mela. 
BRAC Bank organized the program in association with Anando Alo, a fortnightly magazine of Channel i Group, also a partner of this year's Boi Mela. 
The officials handed over books to 30 children from Aparajeya Bangladesh, an NGO working for excluded children of the society. Eminent writer Lutfor Rahman Riton and Editor of Anando Alo Rezanur Rahman attended the program. 
The children got excited and emotional to receive the books from Brac Bank in their first ever visit to Boi Mela. 
Officials of the bank guided the children for a tour of Boi Mela. The bank organized the program as part of corporate social responsibility activity.
