Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Trade settlement through the central depository system (CDS) was disrupted on Monday due to a technical glitch in the server of the Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd (CDBL), officials said.
Technical disruption was observed when they started the settlement job at around 4:30 pm after the day’s trading in stocks, according to the CDBL officials.
“Depository participants were not able to reach us after the closing of day’s trading session. That’s why we are yet to start the settlement job of share transactions,” a CDBL official told the BBN in Dhaka.
He also said technical persons are trying their best to restore the workable systems after the breakdown for completing the day’s settlement. “We hope the system will be restored soon and we will be able to execute the settlement anytime on Monday night.”
