Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– A business delegation of Britain showed their keen interest to invest in pharmaceuticals, agriculture and education sectors of Bangladesh.

This was disclosed when a six-member business delegation from Coventry Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce (CWCC), UK called on DCCI President Abul Kasem Khan at DCCI Bhaban in Dhaka recently.

Team leader Kevin Ringham led the delegation.

Mr Kasem said that the bilateral trade relation between Bangladesh and UK is cordial. He also said that through various organizations and institutions Britain plays an important role in poverty alleviation, infrastructure development, primary education and rural development of Bangladesh.

He told the delegation that government of Bangladesh provides different facilities including tax holiday to attract foreign investment. He urged the entrepreneurs of Britain to invest in textile, agro-processing, leather, power and energy, ICT, ceramics, tourism and health sectors of Bangladesh.

Mr Ringham said the bilateral trade volume between Bangladesh and Britain has increased in the recent years. He also said that Bangladesh is a potential investment destination.
