Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)– The agreement between United Kingdom Border Agency and Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) to issue UK visa from Chittagong will be reviewed, Director of UK Trade and Investment, Bangladesh Justin Davies said on Sunday.

He made the remarks at a meeting with the CCCI president Murshed Murad Ibrahim held at CCCI office in the port city.

Justin Davies said that Bangladesh and UK enjoy a traditional bilateral relationship and mentioned the rapid progress of Bangladesh in last 15 years.

Referring to statistics, he mentioned that UK is the third largest market for Bangladeshi products, which is 10 percent of its revenue in this sector.

He showed his keen interest to set up “O” and “A” level institutions of British Standard in Bangladesh in collaboration with CCCI.

Welcoming Davies, the CCCI president called for upholding the deep bilateral relation with UK. He sought for British investment in infrastructure development, ship breaking, tourism, gas and power sectors.

He also requested Davies to come to some agreement in future regarding more investment.
