Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh (BBN)-The members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) gunned down a Bangladeshi cattle trader in Lalmonirhat, a northern district of Bangladesh bordering India, early Thursday.
The killing took place around 4:30am when a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders were returning through Burimari border point in Patgram upazila of the district, said local officials of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
The border troops from Changrabandha camp in Cooch Bihar of India’s West Bengal opened fire on the cattle traders without any provocation, leaving one of them dead on the spot, the BGB officials added.
The other cattle traders however managed to escape unhurt.
