BUET closed for indefinite period

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has been closed for an indefinite period following students demonstration over postponement on their final examinations.

The authorities of the BUET took the decision during an emergency meeting on Thursday to avoid untoward incident.

The authorities also asked the students to vacate all the halls by 5:00pm today.

Sources said, a group of unruly students carried out attack and vandalism at the academic building Wednesday night as their demonstration demanding postponement on their final examinations could not make any breakthrough on Tuesday.
