Businessman killed in Dhaka city

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Unidentified criminals gunned down a jewellery shop owner in the old part of capital’s Sutrapur area Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Prem Krishno Roy, 36, a resident of Koilash Ghosh Lane in Kotwali area.

A group of armed criminals opened fire on Prem near Bahadur Shah Park at about 8:00am while he was returning home after dropping his niece at her school at Laxmibazar, leaving him dead on the spot, report said quoting witnesses.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
