Chttagong, Bangladesh (BBN)– A three-day 12th Chittagong Apparel, Fabric, and Accessories Exposition-2014 (CAFAXPO-2014) kicks off in the port city on Thursday, organizers said.
Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) is arranging the annual textile, machineries and accessories exhibition to introduce local stakeholders with the latest tools and logistics from home and abroad for readymade garments and textile sectors.
The CAFAXPO-2014 will be held at Chittagong Zila Krira Sangstha (CJKS) Indoor Stadium with participation of 50 reputed local and foreign companies of fabrics, knit, woven, enterprises, IT and garments, machineries etc.
Apart from inaugural and concluding ceremonies, seminars on three separate subjects related to the current state of country's garments sector and subsequent global trend, live fashion show everyday at the exhibition venue with the participation of noted artistes are the main features of the CAFAXPO-2014.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, MP, will be the chief guest while Minister for Housing and Public Works Engineer Mosharf Hossain, MP, state Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed, MP, Ex mayor of Chittagong City Corporation A B M Mohiuddin Chowdhury will attend the function as special guests.
