Call money rate may rise further Sunday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The inter-bank call money rate may increase further on Sunday, the last working day before the Eid-ul-Fitr festival, bankers said.

The call rate may touch maximum at 8.50 per cent on the day against 8.25 per cent of the previous working day.

“The call money rate may increase slightly on the day as the pressure for withdrawal of cash from the banks is expected to higher on the day,” a senior treasury official said.
