Call money rates shoot up ahead of Eid

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The inter-bank call money market heated up during the end of the week on increased demand ahead of Eid festival, treasury officials said.

The inter-bank call money market rates that hovered between 4.50 and 6.25 percent range on Sunday, ended the week trading as high as 20 percent level on last working day of the last week, they added.
