Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Canada Showcase-2011, a day-long exhibition, jointly organised by Canada-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CanCham) and Canadian High Commission in Bangladesh will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka on February 20.
The event will be the first solo Canadian trade exhibition in Bangladesh, a press statement said on Thursday.
The main objective of the event is to help take bilateral trade between Canada and Bangladesh to new heights.
Renowned Canadian and Bangladeshi companies namely Alpha Solar Canada, Bata, Bay Footwear Limited, BTC Ltd., City Group, Computer Source Limited, Cosmos Energy Ltd., CanCham, Canadian Wheat Board, Canadian International Grains Institute, Entrust, Etihad, Fidelity Asset & Securities Company Ltd., Getco Ltd., Ghazi Chemical Ltd., High Commission of Canadian, Interspan Canada, Mostafa Group, Meghna Group of Companies, Novo Cargo Services Ltd., Platinum Solar, SNC LAVALIN International Inc. and Wintel will take part in the event.
The Canada Showcase-2011 will include exhibition booths highlighting opportunities in Canadian trade and investment and seminars on both bilateral commerce and Canadian educational openings.
The event will remain open for visitors between 10am and 6pm (local time), the statement added.
