Oregon, US (BBN)-Somebody call the paw-lice.
Tigger, a mischievous cat from Oregon, has been stealing children’s toys, trash, and even marijuana and bringing the loot to his owner - who is a cop, reports The Daily mail.
West Linn Police Sgt. Dave Kempas told ABC this week that his pet Tigger - who has been nicknamed Kleptokitty - leaves piles of stolen trinkets in his driveway and back porch.
His criminal behavior has been going on for four years.
Curious as to how his cat burglar managed to bring back so many items night after night for years, Kempas installed a surveillance to observe Kleptokitty at work.
He now posts the surveillance photos to Tigger's very own Facebook page under the name Happy Kleptokitty.
Among the items stolen by the sticky-pawed feline are My Little Pony children's plushies and numerous other toy horses - which he seems to have an affinity for - dish rags and underwear.
'He even brought me a little bag of weed one time,' Sgt. Kempas told Fox.
'I said, "You can’t be bringing that stuff home, that’s against the law!"'
Kempas says he cleans up the items if they are trash but donates the toys and other potentially valuable findings to charity.
'I didn’t take a receipt or anything for it,' he said. 'I figure I can’t take that as a tax deduction. I didn’t get it honestly in the first place.'
According to Kempas, Tigger isn't the only one of his pets who has had an affinity for stealing.
He says his old cat Bubba did the exact same thing - and took items from his gardener neighbor.
'The lady who lives next door to us, she’s a very prolific gardener, beautiful gardens – fruits and vegetables and flowers – but she would leave her gloves and so forth out, and we started finding gloves on our back porch,' he explained.
'This was, to use police vernacular, the same M.O. as before.'
