CCCI to sign deal with Dutch embassy on improving port facilities

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN) - The Dutch embassy will next month sign a memorandum of understanding with Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) on promoting cooperation in improving the operation of Chittagong port.

Alphons Hennekens, ambassador of the Royal Netherlands, is expected to sign the MoU on exchange of information, delegations, technical and expertise and providing logistic support for improving the facilities of the port, the New Age, a local newspaper, reported quoting CCCI sources.

The Dutch ambassador on Sunday had an exchange of views with the president of CCCI during a visit to the port city.

Terming Chittagong as a “booming town”, the envoy showed his interest to encourage Dutch entrepreneurs to invest in the city utilizing its huge potentials.
