Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The central bank of Bangladesh has asked the commercial banks to introduce school banking to encourage students to develop the habit of savings, officials said on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued a circular in this connection on the day and advised the chief executives and managing directors of all scheduled banks for taking effective measures in this regard.

“We’ve taken the measure to expand the country’s banking services,” a BB senior official told BBN in Dhaka, adding that there is a need to encourage students to save with banks and contribute to economic development.
