Central bank, BRAC to sign deal on farm loan to share-croppers

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- the central bank of Bangladesh and BRAC will sign an agreement on Wednesday on disbursement of agriculture credit to share-croppers.

Under the deal, BRAC in association with 150 other organizations will distribute the agri credit across the country, a Bangladesh Bank (BB) senior official told BBN in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Early this fiscal year, the central bank had announced an allocation of BDT 5.00 billion  as agriculture credit dedicated exclusively for the share-croppers. This is the first ever credit allocation for the share-croppers in the South Asian country.
