Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The central bank of Bangladesh has launched an electronic library and news clipping software offering the central bank staff online access to necessary books, journals, magazines and newspapers clippings.
Bangladesh Bank (BB), the country’s central bank, Governor Atiur Rahman inaugurated software at a program at its headquarters in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.
BB governor said the e-library and the e-news clipping would add a new dimension to the central bank’s initiatives to modernize the country’s banking sector.
The e-library begins with 220 books, 115 journals, 477 articles and magazines and information about 33,682 books. 
Besides, it contains 3,000 newspaper clippings. 
BB staff will get necessary information and references from the library from their desks and even from outside their workplaces instead of physically going to the library.
