Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The central bank of Bangladesh on Saturday unveiled the logo of the country's first ever banking fair to be held at the Bangla Academy premises in the capital Dhaka from November 24-28.
The central bank is organising the weeklong "Banking Fair Bangladesh 2015" with the theme: "To Build a Banking Nation", AFM Asaduzzaman, general manager of the governor secretariat of Bangladesh Bank (BB) told BBN in Dhaka.
He also said on the sidelines of the fair, seminar, workshop, roundtable discussions, debate competition and cultural programmes will be arranged every day.
The objectives of the fair include raising public awareness about banking products and services, expanding the financial literacy programme of BB at national level, promoting banking sector, its products and services, presenting the banks as service providers to the customers, encouraging the customers optimizing the usage of technology in the banking sector, ensuring broadened financial inclusion, bringing the young and the youths under banking services and extending the banking services and products to the people's doorstep.
In the fair, there will be stalls for all banks, non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs), and other related institutions.
