Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The 24th annual general meeting (AGM) of Central Insurance Company Limited CICL was held in the city recently.
The AGM approved 15 percent stock dividend for its shareholders for the year 2011. The Chairman of the board of directors of the company Alhaj Md Shafi presided over the meeting.
A large number of shareholders and directors attended the meeting, the company said in a press statement.
The meeting also approved the company’s account for the year 2011. The AGM informed the shareholders that the company earned gross premium income of BDT 239.13 million during the year 2011, which was 19.50 percent higher than the previous year.
And net premium income of BDT 157.26 million during the year 2011, is 30.10 percent higher than the previous year and total assets at the end of the year stood at BDT 1,062.43 million.
