Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– A new brand of mobile handset named ‘Sfone’ produced in China was launched in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday.
Bangla China Telecom (BCT) that would market the product in Bangladesh unveiled the brand at a press conference and described their business plan.
Eight models of handsets were showcased in the press conference. The organizers said they will maintain quality of the handsets and ensure after-sales service to retain their brand image.
At first, the company is giving focus on ‘feature phone’ then it will launch ‘smart phone’ considering the demand of rural people.
The product of the company will be cost-effective with quality, the company Managing Director Mohammad Shahabuddin said, adding that the company has a target to be a competitive market leader in handset business within next two years.
The company is embarking on its business after setting up service points so that customers can solve their problems easily, he added.
Chairman of the company Mohammad Shahin Hossain, Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Monjur Morshed and Director of BCT Golam Mohiuddin were present in the press conference.
