Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-A Chinese company will invest US$8.7 million in Chittagong Export Processing Zone by setting up a fabric and interlining manufacturing industry.
Sunshine Accessories Manufacturing BD Ltd will set up the industry in the standard factory building of Chittagong Export Processing Zone, said a press statement of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority.
This company has a plan to produce 20 million meters grey fabric, dyed fabric, lining & interlining annually.
Job opportunity of nearly 799 Bangladeshi people will be created if the company was set up.
An agreement to this effect signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and Sunshine Accessories Manufacturing BD Ltd at BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on Monday.
Sayed Nurul Islam, member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and Ms Lili, chairman of Sunshine Accessories company inked the deal on behalf of their respective organisations.
