Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)– The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) and Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industries (CMCCI) on Saturday launched selling of essential commodities at fair prices for the people of low-income group in the country’s port city. 
Former CCCI President MA Latif, MP, formally inaugurated the fair price sale program of CCCI in front of the Chamber House this morning. 
MA Latif, MP, in his inaugural speech lauded the initiative taken by CCCI and urged all businessmen to come forward to keep the prices of daily commodities at a tolerable level. 
As part of the program, the CCCI will sell subsidized necessary goods till 25th Ramadan.
The CCCI is initially selling fine rice at BDT 20, boiled rice at BDT 18 and sugar at BDT 45 per kilogram (Kg) in the outlet and it will add more products in the outlet. Besides, two more outlets will be inaugurated soon. 
Meanwhile, Daily Azadi editor and CMCCI director MA Malek inaugurated the fair price program undertaken by CMCCI at its office premises. 
As part of the program, the CMCCI is selling fine rice at BDT 20, sugar at BDT 45 per kilogram and 2 litre bottled Soya-bean oil at BDT 260.
