Canberra, Australia (BBN)-West Indies power horse Chris Gayle has made history by becoming the first man to make double century in the history of world cup cricket.
He reached the milestone in just 138 balls while playing against Zimbabwe in the 15th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at Canberra in Australia Tuesday.
The partnership of Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels also set a new record in the history ODI games.
Gayle’s personal 215 runs and Samuels’s 133 helped West Indies to mound the big post which is World Cup 2015’s highest score so far.
Samuels achieved 8th ODI century with his personal total.
West Indies set 373 runs target for Zimbabwe losing two wickets in 50 overs in the Pool B game at Manuka Oval.
