Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Thursday sought details on all bank accounts of its chairman Ghulam Hussain and his wife.
The CIC gave banks seven days to furnish information on Mr. Hussain’s current, savings and foreign currency accounts, credit cards, savings certificates and any other investment instruments and schemes.
The CIC also asked the country’s commercial banks to furnish bank account information since 2007 by November 24. If any bank does not have any information regarding their bank accounts, they have to furnish nil report regarding the query, according to officials.
