Citibank links up with automated clearing house

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Citibank, N.A. Bangladesh has successfully completed the first round of testing of cheque processing through Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH).

Citibank has also recently organized a seminar for its valued clients highlighting the key features and benefits of BACH.

Commenting on this, Mamun Rashid, managing director and Citi country officer – Bangladesh, said: “We highly appreciate the bold reforms initiated by Bangladesh Bank in the country’s banking sector. We believe that the imminent implementation of an automated clearing house is likely to change the banking landscape of the country in the years to come in a very positive way and Citibank’s technological edge would help its clients to take full benefits through the BACH.’
