CNG exhibition to begin in Dhaka Friday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The 1st International CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Exhibition -2008 will begin on Friday at the city's Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the capital, Dhaka to showcase CNG equipment and accessories.

Global Event Management Services (GEMS) in association with Petrobangla, Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Ltd. (RPGCL) and Asia Pacific Natural Gas Vehicle Association is organizing the exhibition.

M. Tamim, special assistant to the Chief Adviser for energy and mineral resources, is expected to inaugurate the four-day fair at 3.30pm (local time).

The main objective of the fair is to provide the Bangladesh CNG industry a platform to develop new alternate sources of supplies, make new contacts and to discover and capitalize on the new opportunities, the organizers said.

The fair will also help to increase the number of CNG users and provide necessary information to the CNG businessmen and vehicle owners, they said.

More than 20 exhibitors of 16 CNG technology manufacturing countries including Canada, China, Korea, India, Pakistan, Argentina, USA and UK will attend the fair with their latest technology related with cylinders used by the CNG vehicles, kit, Compressor, dispenser accessories and support services.
