Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The results of the first merit list for college admission for the academic session 2015-16 were finally published on the ministry website on Sunday midnight after a three-day delay caused by technical glitches.
The results are available on the ministry website www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd.
Education Secretary Nazrul Islam Khan announced the publication around 12:30am on Monday at a press briefing at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in the capital Dhaka.
He also said a total of 1093,374 students have been nominated for admission on the first merit list.
A total of 1156,000 students applied for admission as college admissions have been based on results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations for the last few years.
Mr. Khan earlier said the results for class XI admission which were scheduled to be published on Thursday could not be published due to technical glitches on the website.
The BUET authorities said they found the webpage hacked several times and steps were taken to restore the website soon.
