Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Commercial Bank of Ceylon is highlighting its weekend and evening banking at the Banking Fair Bangladesh-2015 to strengthen their relationship with the clients.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman inaugurated the five-day long banking fair on Bangla Academy premises in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The clients will be able to settle any type of banking transaction between Friday and Saturday, two public holidays in Bangladesh, from the bank’s Dhanmondi branch.
The branch will remain open between 10:00am and 12:00pm in every weekend.
The bank introduced the service as the clients usually face difficulty in conducting banking operation during the weekends, Asiful Islam, an officer of Commercial Bank of Ceylon, told the BBN during the fair.
The bank has also introduced evening banking at its Gulshan branch and the clients will be able to get services till 8:00pm in every working day.
Besides, the bank is focusing a saving product namely ‘Bonus Saving Account’ where the client will get three per cent rate of interest and 50 per cent profit against their total earned interest.
The bank is also trying to popularise it’s an innovative debit card which is issued for the clients of the ‘dollar smart foreign currency account’ of the CBC.
The debit card holders of the bank can withdraw any foreign currency from any country by using the card if they have available balance in the form of US dollar with their account, Mr Asiful said.
