Cop killed in Dhaka road crash

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-A policeman was killed and another injured when a speedy truck hit them in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, early Tuesday.
Deceased Al Amin, 28, was an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Khilkhet Police Station in Dhaka while the injured is constable Shahjahan of the same police station.
A speedy truck hit the policemen around 3:30am from behind near Khilkhet kitchen market while they were on duty, leaving the duo seriously injured, said one of their fellow.
They were immediately taken to Kurmitola General Hospital.
As the condition of the ASI deteriorated, he was taken to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital in the morning where doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, Khilkhet police seized the truck and also arrested the trucker and his assistant.
