Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Police Thursday afternoon flushed out the demonstrating workers of Tuba Group from their factory in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

Over 1,000 apparel workers were observing hunger strike inside their factory in Badda of the capital since July 28 demanding their outstanding salaries and festival bonus.
The law enforcers stormed into the factory around 12:40pm and fired rubber bullets and teargas shells to disperse them, triggering a clash
Following the police action, Garment Workers’ Oikya Forum declared to hold demonstration in all the RMG factories across Bangladesh today.
The forum also decided to continue the hunger strike at Shaheed Minar premises in the capital.
Meanwhile, police also detained Moshrefa Mishu, president of the Garment Workers Oikya Forum, and Joly Talukdar, leader of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), from the scene of the chose.
At least 10 workers including two lensmen were injured when police charged batons on marauding workers who were vandalising vehicles on the road in front of their factory.
Witnesses said the workers vandalised at least 20 vehicles.
Police also used water cannon to disperse the workers of adjacent factories who gathered in front of Tuba Group to express their solidarity with their agitating fellowmen.
The road communications on Gulshan-Badda Link Road remained suspended for nearly two hours following the agitation and clash.
All those took place hours after the law enforcers allegedly halted water supply to the striking workers of the factory.
Earlier on Wednesday, the forum called strike at all the RMG units across Bangladesh on Saturday if their demands were not met by Thursday.
They also threatened to stage a countrywide demonstration on Thursday and Friday to press home their demands, reports a correspondent.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Thursday again started distributing two months’ salary to the workers at their office for the second consecutive day.
So far, over 800 workers had received their salaries.
