Crack develops in 22-stroey building in Bangladesh capital

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – A 22-storey building tilted after cracks developed in it at Shantinagar in Dhaka on Saturday morning, police and witnesses said.

Residents of the sky scrapper got panicked after noticing the crack and rushed out on to the street, witnesses said.

Police and fire brigade personnel cordoned off the building. The crack was detected after heavy downpour at around 10am (local time).

The cracks are found on the pillars on ground and second floors of the building, a police official confirmed.
