Last updated: October 14, 2009

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Crude oil rose to a seven-week high near USD 75 per barrel after OPEC increased its 2010 world energy demand forecast by 700,000 barrels a day. The weaker Greenback also boosted the appeal of commodities.

Gold futures advanced on the heels of a retreating USD to 1,065.60 an ounce, according to reports.
