Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The Listing and Index Committee of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has included some new companies in CSE-30 Index, the barometer of the blue-chip companies after reviewing the performances of the listed companies.

The following thirty companies have been included in CSE-30 Index for the next term with effect from Monday, the stock exchange said.

The companies are Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd, Pragati Insurance Ltd, Square Textiles Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited, ACI, AMCL Pran, Heidelberg Cement Bangladesh Limited, Meghna Cement Mills Limited, Aftab Automobiles Limited, Apex Adelchi Footwear Limited, Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Limited, BOC Bangladesh Limited, Padma Oil Company Limited, AB Bank Limited, National Bank Limited, Uttara Bank Limited, IFIC Bank Limited, Pubali Bank Limited, Prime Bank Limited, Southeast Bank Limited, EXIM Bank Limited, Dhaka Bank Limited, NCC Bank Limited, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Online Limited, IDLC Finance Limited, Uttara Finance and Investment Limited, Usmania Glass Sheet Factory Limited, GQ Ball Pen Industries Limited and Aramit Limited.

It may be mentioned here that CSE-30 Index is a well-diversified stock index accounting for 12 sectors of the economy. This index is created by selecting 30 stocks among the listed stocks in CSE based on the set criteria.

The traded value for the last six months of CSE-30 stocks is approximately 21 per cent of the traded value of all stocks in CSE.

CSE-30 stocks represent about 25.25 per cent of the total paid-up capital and 31 per cent of total market capitalization of listed companies in the second bourse of the country as on 10th May 2009.

The P/E Ratio and Cash Dividend Yield of CSE-30 Stocks are 13.28 and 2.51 respectively as on 30 April 2009.
