CSE closes lower on Monday

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)- Trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed lower on Monday although the turnover in terms of both volume and value increased.

The CSE All Share Price Index (CASPI) declined by 1.64 percent to close at 9346.27 points. The CSE-30 Index also shed 2.80 percent to close at 7449.00 points.

A total of 159 issues were traded on the day. Of them, 57 gained, 108 declined and only four remained unchanged.

Some 6,208,233 shares and debentures worth BDT 1.00 billion changed hands on the same day against 5,200,233 shares worth BDT 833.7 million on Sunday.
