Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN) – Trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the country’s second bourse, closed lower on Sunday with the losers strongly dominating the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index (CASPI) decreased by 1.76 per cent or 145.60 points to close at 8233.62 points from 8380.59 points of the previous working day.

The CSE-30 Index also shed 1.96 percent or 146.97 points to close at 7274.85 points from Thursday’s 7420.45 points on the previous trading day.

A total of 131 issues were traded today. Of them, 17 gained, 112 declined and only two remained unchanged, according to the statistics.

A total of 4,137,361 shares and debentures worth BDT 444.7 million changed hands on the day against 3,786,440 shares valued at BDT 361.4 million of the previous working day.
