Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) will sit with all asset management companies (AMCs) tomorrow (Tuesday) with a view to make the mutual funds (MFs) more popular by discussing their prevailing situation, officials said.
According to the schedule set by the CSE, the meeting with the AMCLs will be held at the CSE’s Dhaka office.
They will discuss the prevailing problems behind the declining trend of the MFs. Then apart from the CSE we will place a set of suggestions on as to how the MFs can be more popular, said an official
The fund managers have offloaded 43 closed-end MFs, which have been passing tough situation for long days. The market prices of maximum MFs recently have gone down below the face value of the units.
