Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The port city bourse on Wednesday unveiled its new logo replacing the existing one as part of the exchange’s forwarding looking thinking after the completion of demutualisation process.
The chairman of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Dr Muhammad Abdul Mazid unveiled the logo at a ceremony held at CSE’s Dhaka office.
CSE Director Shafiul Islam Mohiuuddin and Managing Director Wali-Ul-Maroof Matin were also present at the ceremony.
After unveiling the logo, the CSE chairman said the new logo is also a ‘promise’ to listed companies and investors.
“CSE is always committed to work for investors. The new logo is a part of our new beginning. The logo reflects our promises to the investors,” said Mazid.
During its inception in 1995, the port city introduced its first logo that continued for around 20 years.
The CSE officials said a wave called ‘Fibonacci Bands’ was the inspiration of their new logo.
Fibonacci Bands is a famous name in global stock market for analysing company shares.
Fibonacci frequency is called magic number which indicates a golden and successful future.
“Our new logo is actually a reflection of success after all the ups and downs of companies and share holders’ life,” the CSE said.
