Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Delta BRAC Housing Finance Corporation Limited, generally known as DBH, was awarded highest level credit rating 'AAA' (Triple A) for the sixth consecutive year.

DBH is, to date, the only local non-banking financial institution licensed by the Bangladesh Bank (BB), the country’s central bank, to be rated triple A for the last six consecutive years.

Hamidul Huq, Managing Director of Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh (CRAB) handed over the credit rating report to Q.M. Shariful Ala, Managing Director and CEO of DBH at a function held at the latter's corporate office in Dhaka on Sunday. Senior officials of DBH and CRAB were present at the function.

CRAB's independent Rating Committee comprising of financial analysts from home and abroad prepared the credit rating report on the basis of qualitative and quantitative analysis of the financials of DBH, and the rating is valid up to December 31, 2012.

The CRAB rating report indicated that triple A rating has been given to DBH for excellent financials, healthy and sustainable franchises and a first rated operating environment.
