Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – A business delegation of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) led by its Senior Vice President Nessar Maksud Khan left the capital on Thursday for New York, US.
 
The DCCI team will attend a three-day International Franchise Expo (IFE) 2013 which started from Thursday, the chamber said.
The IFE 2013 is an annual trade show, featuring over 300 franchise exhibitors, representing virtually every industry and investment level.
The attendees have the opportunity to meet executives of the exhibiting franchisors and to attend free seminars as well as other symposia sessions presented by leading franchise experts. 
The franchise industry is a major contributor to the US economy, employing more than 20 million people and contributing over US$ 2.0 trillion in economic activity. 
The DCCI delegation will also meet Non-resident Bangladeshi (NRB) businessmen, Greater New York Chamber of Commerce and US Chamber of Commerce, Washington, DC to explore bilateral trade and investment opportunities. 
During the visit, the DCCI team will mainly focus on attracting more bilateral trade and investment especially foreign direct investment (FDI) for Bangladesh. They will also visit Bangladesh Embassy in the USA.
