Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) hopes that political leaders will come forward to resolve this crisis for the sake of the nation and enter into the New Year with new hope and prospect.
“Business community also feels that political parties will not make mistake again to lead the nation,” the DCCI said in a statement on Saturday.
The leading chamber has stated that different persons, organizations and societies have proposed various unplanned proposals so far to solve the political crisis.
“The chamber found no effective steps to implement these proposals. For this reason, business community as well as mass people of the country is passing through a critical situation,” it noted.
In order to relief from this situation, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has recently proposed a framework for formation of the government during election period for a free and fare election.
The DCCI welcomes TIB for proposing such a framework for free and fare election.
It feels that this framework may be considered as a base to create a field for solving the political crisis.
The representatives of business community, teachers and civil society, main political parties including ruling and opposition and media should take an effective initiative to discuss on this framework, if any addition or elimination requires. “DCCI has already sent a letter to FBCCI President to take necessary steps in this regard.”
