Delwar of Bangladesh finish 3rd in ITF U-14 Asian Tennis in Burma

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Promising Bangladeshi player Delwar Hossain finished 3rd in the boys’ section of the ITF Under-14 Asian Tennis Group-2 matches that concluded today (Saturday) at the Teinbow Tennis Centre in Rangoon of Burma, officially known as Myanmar.

Another Bangladeshi player Wai Mong Marma was placed 6th while Delwar Hossain Sajal finished 23rd in the meet, according to reports.

In the girls’ group, Bangladeshi players Jhilik Chakma finished 16th, Ishita Afroz 17th and Ayesha Sultana 23rd.

Ealier, Delwar Hoosain made his exit from the semifinal of boys’ singles of the meet losing to Al Ansi Ghasan of Yemen 3-6, 2-6.

Bangladeshi pair of Delwar Hossain and Wai Mong Marma has been eliminated from the boys’ doubles losing to Syrian pair Aalaf Karim and Muhammad Azhari 3-6, 5-7 in the quarterfinal at the same venue.

A total of 42 boys and 25 girls from 15 countries took part in the meet.
