Dhaka, Bangkok sign two deals for strengthening relations

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladesh and Thailand have signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aiming to strengthen bilateral relations in agriculture and promote bilateral consultation to strengthen relations between the two friendly countries, officials said.
The MoUs were signed following the bilateral talks between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and visiting Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at the Prime Minister’s Office in the capital Dhaka on Saturday.
 
The two prime ministers witnessed the signing ceremony.
 
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Thailand Surapong Tovichakchikul signed the MoU on ‘Establishment of Bilateral Consultations’ which aims at developing and strengthening relations between the two countries.
 
Agriculture Secretary Monzur Hossain and Permanent Secretary on Agriculture of Thailand Chavalit Chookajorn signed the MoU on ‘Agricultural Cooperation’ for their respective countries.
 
The deal aims at expanding areas of cooperation in the fields of agriculture for proper exploitation of potentials and prepare joint programs in this regard.
