Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– A motor show begins in the capital Dhaka on Thursday with a view to showcasing local and foreign automobiles and auto-accessories, organizers said on Sunday.

The sixth Globatt Dhaka Motor Show 2011 show will be organized by CEMS (Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd) Global-USA in association with CEMS Bangladesh, Rahimafrooz and AB Bank.

CEMS Global president and Group managing director Meherun N Islam disclosed Sunday this at a press conference in Dhaka.

Around 62 companies including 22 foreign will take part in the show. Nine countries — Bangladesh, India, England, the United Arab Emirates, China, Italy, the USA, Malaysia and Japan — will be participating in the exhibition.

Leading car and motor-cycle distributors and dealers along with banks, lubricant companies, CNG conversion companies and automotive component manufacturers and importers from Bangladesh and abroad will display their products in 350 booths in the show.

The show will remain open from 10:30am to 8:30pm. The entry fee has been fixed at BDT 30 for each person.
